UOIT hosts the annual Science Rendezvous
The University of Ontario Institute of Technology (UOIT) invites inquiring minds of all ages to a day of discovery.
Demonstrations and interactive activities include:
• Discovering the sensational sliminess of creating polymers;
• Learning how we use our eyes to see in 3D;
• Examining forensic evidence to solve a crime;
• Learning about Cancer cells and West Nile Virus;
• Science Jeopardy: test your general science knowledge and win a prize;
• Cockroach races and maggot masterpieces;
•Who Knew? - mini-seminar series
•And much more.
There is something for the whole family to enjoy!

Durham’s Ultimate Women’s Show taking place at the Durham College in the Recreation & Wellness Centre will be a truly femalelicious, sensational, entertaining and exciting weekend out for each and every woman visiting with over 75 exhibits. This show presents the ideal opportunity to shop, learn, participate and enjoy! There will be interactive exhibits and companies that will appeal to all senses – showcasing products and services for women of all ages.

The Whitby-Oshawa Mompreneur Showcase has one main goal: to exhibit the creative talents of Whitby and Oshawa's local Mompreneurs! In doing so collectively, it is our hope that the community will get an informed glimpse of how everyday women are making a difference for their communities, for their families, and for themselves! Come join us for a fun day for the family. There will be face painting, Dora appearances, lots of great Christmas shopping and great raffle and door prizes. Free swag bags to the first 100 visitors.
